The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic & Technical Vision: Define and execute the technology roadmap for Fixed Income Trade Processing in APAC. Drive the architectural vision for a unified, high-speed, and resilient post-trade processing platform.
• Team Leadership & Expansion:
  • Directly lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering team headquartered in India, which is our hub for rapid, accelerated growth.
  • Build and scale a new, core engineering team in Tokyo to provide critical, in-person support and partnership with key business areas.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and accountability across all locations.
• Site Leadership: Act as the senior site leader for the broader Fixed Income Technology organization in APAC, promoting a cohesive, collaborative, and high-energy culture across different teams and functions.
• Senior Business Partnership: Serve as the primary technology partner to senior Fixed Income business leaders in the APAC region. Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technology solutions and ensure tight alignment between technology strategy and business goals.
• Execution & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of a complex and deeply technical product portfolio. Champion engineering best practices, operational excellence, and the adoption of modern technologies to achieve our straight-through processing objectives.
• Global Collaboration: Partner with global technology counterparts to ensure a consistent and unified approach to architecture, development, and deployment, contributing to the global Fixed Income Technology strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Extensive (15+ years) experience in financial technology, with a significant portion in a senior leadership capacity managing large, geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Business Acumen: Niche and in-depth knowledge of Fixed Income products, the full trade lifecycle, and post-trade processing is essential.
• Technical Expertise: Deeply technical background with a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-throughput, and resilient systems. Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams, influence senior executives, and foster strong partnerships with the business.
• Growth & Scaling: Demonstrable experience in building and scaling technology teams in growth locations, particularly in India and/or Japan.
• Strategic Mindset: A strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate business needs into a clear technology vision and an executable roadmap.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred

As the APAC Head of Fixed Income Trade Processing Technology, you will directly lead a rapidly growing team, provide site leadership for the broader Fixed Income Technology organization across APAC, and serve as the senior technology partner to the business.
