The Fund Accounting Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department, driving a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Net Asset Valuations (NAVs).
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
Identify opportunities to implement process improvements and recommend system, service, and process enhancements including leading and evaluating system testing
Coordinate staff assignments to achieve optimal effectiveness through assessment of business requirements and staff skill sets and development needs
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, and serve as point of escalation of complex customer issues
Perform discovery and due diligence with clients and visits regarding service quality measurement
Manage the Risk and Control agenda including audits, interfacing with internal and external auditors, and identifying process gaps
Work closely with senior management on identifying opportunities for cost saves, full-time equivalent (FTE) reduction, and optimization
Work closely with Sales and CEs on client management and service improvement initiatives
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Recommended Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Performance/Investment certification preferred - CFA/CIPM
Experience in Investment Performance
Experience in accounting within financial services, strategic management, resource/expense management, and managing client relationships
Experience in managing operational delivery
Extensive knowledge of funds services and process
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in related area
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
The Senior Performance & Risk Analyst operates within Citi’s Global Middle Office and is responsible for a range of client change activities, as well as strategic change. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that client change activities, and strategic change is managed closely and delivered on time and accurately. Citi is transitioning through a period of significant growth, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an active role in driving the shape the business. The candidate will also be a delegate for the senior manager and be able to adapt to BAU peak demands where required.
Job Background / Context:
Global Fund Services is the centre of operations and services to Global Middle Office, investment accounting, performance, risk and reporting clients. It has key outsourcing clients and a growing book of clients receiving Middle Office services, and there is now a requirement to recruit an experienced Senior Performance & Risk Analyst to support the growing team.
We are looking to recruit a candidate with a strong background and significant experience of performance analytics, calculation, contribution, attribution and ex-ante risk analytics. Additionally, the candidate should have significant experience on the Aladdin performance platform, implementations and experience of change, large projects.
The individual will be a senior member of a growing team locally that working with an an extended global team and have regular interaction with regional peers in relation to performance services and global initiatives. Client ownership is key with a requirement to professionally service clients to a high standard and participate in strategic initiatives and change.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Aladdin performance guidance and support for the global team.
- Lead and act as a subject matter expert on a large client implementation.
- Lead on internal strategic initiatives and process improvements; work with regional partners to ensure a common approach.
- Lead on strategic client on boarding and change.
- Look for opportunities for efficiencies and drive new developments and enhancements forward for the team.
- Ensuring that offshore and onshore teams are trained to a high standard and are kept up to date with change.
- Develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Delegate for the senior manager.
- Adapt to BAU demands as required in peaks.

Knowledge/Experience:
- Significant experience of the Aladdin performance platform,
- Extensive knowledge of performance analytics methodologies and ex-ante risk analytics
- Significant track record in a Performance & Risk function, and change, within an Asset Management or Servicing firm
- Experience of the wider operational functions and accounting process.
- Previous experience working in an asset management environment with pricing, data and investment accounting experience
- Significant fixed income experience.
- Significant experience of performance tools such as Aladdin, FactSet, B One, StatPro and Bloomberg would be an advantage.
