As a Finance Manager supporting Citizens Private Wealth, you will help drive our expansion, by enhancing performance measurement for the division, and supporting the forecasting & planning routines. This is a small but high-impact team that is focused on developing analytical insights into the division's performance, identifying and communicating both risks and opportunities for improvement, developing monthly forecasts that reflect that outlook, and creating long-range plans. This requires close partnership with key leaders, to support a key strategic priority for the firm. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to learn about Wealth, while contributing to the Finance team by improving our forecasting models, accessing and analyzing new data, and recommending & implementing process improvements. This candidate will be part of an exciting journey and team that is charged with supporting the strategic expansion of Private Wealth at Citizens.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing the reporting and forecasting processes for Private Wealth, including month-end and quarter-end close, monthly financial reviews, and rolling forecasts.
  • Building the financial story for monthly business and performance reviews through analyzing financial performance, including variance analysis, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Review explanations of variance for sufficiency, clarity, and value
  • Developing and delivering analyses that demonstrate the value of the Private Wealth business to the overall bank.
  • Partnering with the Finance team and other stakeholders to identify and drive process improvements, including management / organization of metric data, and creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies and business cases for new initiatives and investments
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, including analytical work to diagnose performance (e.g., rate/volume analysis )
  • Experience in banking or wealth management is highly preferred
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to source and interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Strong communication and partnering skills with a track record for working effectively with internal colleagues and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to think deeply and understand the big picture, while working through the details required to ensure accountability for results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, & Word; skills with query logic such as SQL and PowerQuery desired
  • Bachelors Degree required

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F
