Job Description

The role of the Investment Business Management Analyst – Advanced Analytics, sits within the COO Business Management team, which forms part of the broader Columbia Threadneedle Investment department. The team plays a critical role in supporting the smooth running of the investment function, working across Portfolio Management, Research, Trading and Technology to ensure the business operates effectively and efficiently. This role will work closely with colleagues at all levels of the investment organization, helping to drive the practical adoption of AI-powered tools.

The role of the Investment Business Management Analyst – Advanced Analytics, sits within the COO Business Management team, which forms part of the broader Columbia Threadneedle Investment department. The team plays a critical role in supporting the smooth running of the investment function, working across Portfolio Management, Research, Trading and Technology to ensure the business operates effectively and efficiently. This role will work closely with colleagues at all levels of the investment organization, helping to drive the practical adoption of AI-powered tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the firm's adoption of AI-powered tools within the investment function, including supporting the implementation of large language model applications.
  • Assist in executing the Gen AI Roadmap across the Portfolio Management, Research and Trading.
  • Engaging directly with stakeholders and super-users across the investment department to introduce AI tools and applications, combine these with business needs and translate those requirements into well-structured analytical use cases.
  • User testing the AI applications on the use cases, testing for bugs and logging issues. Giving demonstrations of the functionality across teams.
  • Supporting project management activity across the COO Advanced Analytics team, specifically around the Gen-AI roadmap, including tracking deliverables, coordinating meetings, and maintaining documentation.
  • Handling first line AI queries, logging issues and troubleshooting.
  • Supporting the COO Advanced Analytics program in the automation of investment processes.
  • Staying current with developments in AI, data tools, and investment processes, and proactively bringing relevant ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Information Systems, or other related field of study
  • Proficiency with relevant AI technology skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals at various levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $100,500- $138,200 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
