Business Banking Training Manager
Job Description
Under minimal direction, the VP Business Banking Training Manager researches, designs/updates, and delivers training programs for our Business Banking, SBA and Treasury Sales & Service divisions. Additionally, analyzes Business, SBA & Treasury policies and procedures to make recommendations to improvements and efficiencies. Communicates and trains how to use the various Business, SBA and Treasury systems to the division employees and be the subject matter expert for on-going questions and concerns.
Major Responsibilities:
General Training Activities
Delivers a variety of sales, technical, professional, compliance, customer service, and management skills courses from entry level to senior management audiences. Schedules and markets programs via the intranet.
Conducts research of program topics/themes to keep training materials up-to-date and implements changes.
Develop and deliver training programs and curriculum
Recommends to the Business, SBA and Treasury groups specific training solutions that fit company-wide needs.
Own the oversight and delivery of the Sales Process program for Business, SBA and Treasury. This includes training and upkeep of the materials for the program.
Own the oversight and delivery of the Sales Coaching program for Business, SBA and Treasury. This includes training and upkeep of the materials for the program.
Own the oversight and delivery of training for the nCino platform for Business, SBA and Treasury. This includes training and upkeep of the materials for the program. They would also be the subject matter expert for questions from the Business Lines.
Own the oversight and delivery of training for Sales Management/Sales Force platforms for Business, SBA and Treasury. This includes training and upkeep of the materials for the program. They would also be the subject matter expert for questions from the Business Lines.
This role would be responsible for creating and delivering training on the credit, deposit and cross sell products for Business, SBA and Treasury.
This role would be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of a robust on-boarding training program for Business, SBA and Treasury.
Ownership of Online Training Delivery Channel
Responsible for providing input on training content and will meet regularly with Senior Business Line leaders in Business, SBA and Treasury to determine the effectiveness of current content and will make independent recommendations for customized online compliance training curricula that are audience appropriate. Ensures that all customization is completed by any outside vendors.
Expands our online delivery channels by researching and recommending tools for developing online content for training and delivering content via Intranet/internet, CDROM, webinars, tutorials, web-based learning etc.
Develops and delivers online content on appropriate topics and measures the effectiveness of our various delivery channels. Determines the most efficient means and combination of delivery channels.
Develops and delivers specific compliance and customer service topic training using the most effective delivery channel.
- Collaborates with technology partners to ensure that planned online content can run at maximum efficiency at the desktop of the participants.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Problem solving and decision making are key attributes for this role. The incumbent analyzes administrative and data issues and makes recommendation to HR management and follow through with implementing approved changes. Works with managers across the Bank and EIG to conduct needs analysis and determine suitable training protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum 5 years teaching and/or training in a business setting or equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Must have an understanding of adult learning styles/theory and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as take direction is required. Minimum 5 years experience of working in either Business, SBA or Treasury. A solid understanding and/or experience in project management required.
Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required. Excellent understanding of database management and data file structure.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work at any location during mergers, acquisitions, system upgrade, or other bank-wide initiatives when on-site support is necessary and must be able to work evening and weekend hours on occasion.
