Summary:
Supports the wealth management team by performing variety of research and operational functions to enhance team productivity, research output, data analytics and client service. Coordinates with account officers and portfolio managers to learn different aspects of the business, including how investment deliverables are implemented and communicated to clients.
Receives broad cross-sectional exposure to investment analysts, client portfolio managers and wealth account officers, marketing, operations, administration and investment technology specialists by executing, supporting, and coordinating a diverse set of tasks.
Responsibilities:
Provides generalist assistance to Market Presidents, Team Leaders, Senior Executives, Account Officers, Portfolio Managers and/or CIO—willingness to be flexible, creative and curious.
Assists with projects, tasks at hand, including particular investment research projects for one of the Research Committees.
Provides generalist research support to the fixed income, equity, asset allocation, or portfolio analytics teams. Projects will vary as needed across individual stock/sector/thematic research, credit/corporate bond research, mutual fund/ETF evaluations, tactical asset allocation modeling, ESG writeups and performance/quantitative analysis.
Supports all account officers including WA/RM/TO/PM/WCA teams with client support needs.
Help prepare presentations for the wealth management team and other materials for internal investment committee meetings, making any changes as directed by senior colleagues
Attends investment team meetings for support and learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
Progress towards earning a bachelor’s degree.
Prior experience with spreadsheet and presentation software applications, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe products is required.
Relevant course work in investment/business or finance related fields.
Knowledge of investment terminology preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, juggle variety of tasks, and interact with staff at all levels.
Ability to streamline functions by identifying efficiency and process improvement opportunities.
Excellent attention to detail. Excellent proofreading skills.
Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to accept new assignments and interact with staff at all levels.
Comfortable and professional in dealing with clients over phone, email, or in-person.
