This job is eligible for a hybrid schedule with some on-site work expected. The individual is excepted to reside in the 1st District unless you were given an exception.

Job Summary:

The Regional and Community Bank supervisory unit is looking for a candidate to join our team. Reporting to an Examination Manager, you will formulate conclusions and effectively communicate findings to bank management to effect positive change and ensure that state member banks in New England are operating in a sound manner and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

You will be provided with an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth. The position and job description posted is for a senior associate examiner. However, you will be placed into an appropriate level within the Examiner family based on degree of experience.

  • Participate or serve effectively as an Examiner-In-Charge (EIC) to lead successful completion of an examination including the assessment of an institution’s overall condition, risk management systems, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Understand supervisory processes, banking processes, and products.
  • Understand an integrated risk management approach and the ability to differentiate between critical and non-critical supervisory issues.
  • Under limited oversight, present both orally and in written form to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate management and influence their actions to achieve supervisory goals, while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Display good judgement, well-reasoned decision making, and ability to problem solve.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to less experienced staff and peers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a master’s degree and/or 2+ years of job-related experience.
  • Commissioning from a Federal Bank Regulator required for examiner position or above.
  • Experience with asset liability management or credit risk management would be beneficial.
  • Ability to travel is required (approximately 35% of work schedule on average).
