Financial Analyst

Role

The Financial Analyst role is a member of the Workplace Investing Central Finance Team, a Center of Excellence (CoE) delivering impactful insight financial analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to provide a broad range of analytics, financial management, and strategic business partner support to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the broader organization.

The Sales & RM organization is a 500+ person organization responsible for delivering high quality client & customer services to Fidelity’s clients & customers & includes strong connections to the various lines of business within WI.

The Expertise and Skills You Have

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent

  • 2+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial

  • Modeling and Analysis

  • Financial services experience preferred

  • Applicants must have strong analytical, communication, conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced experience with various software applications (Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Intellectually curious, self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly and is comfortable managing opposing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliability, flexibility, and goal-oriented member of the team who is motivated for both individual and team success

  • Thorough understanding of financial concepts, methodologies, and accounting principles and how they affect business decisions

  • Maintains and prepares automated, standard, and ad hoc reports; pulls data systematically, aggregates, analyzes and tailors presentation of data to intended audience

  • Demonstrates understanding of process flow and makes recommendations for improvement

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with Finance and business partners at varying levels of the organization

  • Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach

  • Strong experience with various software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)

  • Demonstrating highly creative analytical skills while maintaining focus on details and providing timely and accurate results

  • Using tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information, reporting and

  • analytics that evolve with changes in the business

  • Effectively communicating and influencing with various levels of the organization

  • Using enhanced forecasting techniques to inform decision making
