Sr. Manager, HR Communications

Are you passionate about creating compelling stories and delivering engaging content that informs and inspires associates? As Senior Manager of HR Communications, you will help to develop and implement strategic communications programs in support of our human resources function.

In this role, you will work be a part of the Enterprise HR Communications team and work closely with key business partners. You will help drive positive awareness of Fidelity’s strategic initiatives amongst associates, while measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of communications programs across our team.

The Purpose of Your Role

You will work closely with and collaborate across the HR Communications team to support HR leaders, program teams, and Corporate Affairs partners. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing end-to-end communications plans
  • Creating and implementing internal communication strategies
  • Supporting the VP of HR Communications with team and larger enterprise initiatives
  • Owning and providing strategic oversight of enterprise communication newsletters
  • Providing operational alignment support by collaborating with business partners and other Corporate Affairs functions, including Regional Communications, Creative Solutions, Communications Channels team, etc.
  • Raising awareness of Fidelity Forward, mission and standards and HR’s strategic initiatives for associates
  • Manage and execute special projects
  • Analyzing and coordinating performance data across communication campaigns

You’ll have many opportunities to grow, extend your network, and deliver impact as you support efforts across the associate experience – from hire to retire. You’ll need excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, voracious learner with a growth mindset
  • 6-10+ years as a communications professional in corporate communications or agency with expertise in internal communications
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fluid environment
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to create content to engage associates and drive key messages
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated, multi-channel communications programs that support key business priorities
  • Collaborate with business partners and play a key role on internal working teams
  • Understand the importance of protecting the Fidelity reputation, while at the same time constantly exploring new, creative, and engaging ways to communicate to associates
  • Data-driven to provide insights and well-informed recommendations to team members
  • Work across the Communications team and Corporate Affairs function to align messaging, as appropriate, with other business units and enterprise-focused teams
  • Creativity and fresh perspective on communications

The Team

While you will report into the VP of HR Communications, you will be part of an incredible team — Enterprise HR Communications — responsible for driving impactful internal and external communications programs for Fidelity’s firm-wide business goals. This team is part of Fidelity’s Corporate Affairs function, which includes Communications, Government Relations and Public Policy, Community Affairs and Social Impact, and Diversity & Inclusion.
