The Role
The Head of Data Governance and Quality is responsible for overseeing the management and quality of an organization's data. This role involves:

Developing and implementing data governance frameworks: Establishing policies and procedures to ensure data is managed effectively and ethically.

Ensuring data quality: Making sure data is accurate, complete, and consistent.

Compliance: Ensuring data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations

Collaboration: Working with IT, management, and other stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals.

Leadership: Leading data governance meetings and communicating data standards to the team.
In essence, they ensure that data is handled responsibly, securely, and in a way that supports the organization's objectives.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor's degree required in fields such as: Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration with a focus on data management.

This educational background provides a strong understanding of data principles, compliance, and the strategic importance of data quality and security.

Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP): Offered by DAMA International, this certification covers various data management topics, including data governance, data architecture, data modeling, and data quality

Certified Data Governance Professional (CDGP): Provided by the ICCP, this certification focuses on the duties of data governance and stewardship professionals

Cloud Certified Application Associate – Master Data Governance: This certification is ideal for those working with Cloud systems and focuses on master data governance

Data Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data lifecycle management.

The Team
Fidelity Institutional®(FI) offers access to Fidelity’s proprietary investment management solutions, institutional trading and financing solutions, a platform for asset managers to distribute their investment management solutions to Fidelity customers, and investment-led market research and insights.
The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
