The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Chapter Leader to join our Wealth Solutions Engineering organization, focusing on our Financial Planning & Advice offering. The mission of this offering is to help customer to explore and take-action on key financial decisions. As the Chapter Leader, you will lead our full stack engineering team in collaboration with aligned product teams to advance our mission. We are looking for someone who embodies drive, confidence, genuinely care about people – both customers and our associates – is obsesses with technology, decisive and strategic in the larger scheme of things.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Product Delivery:

  • Provide Engineering expertise, thought leadership across product management, engineering & human-centric design teams team to ensure we are building the best products, platforms, and experiences functionally and technically.
  • Collaborate with the squad leader to prioritize technical efforts and provide input on product features and capabilities.
  • Work with architecture and platform engineering teams on setting technical direction and ensure alignment with our technology strategy.
  • Drive scale & reuse by bringing to bear platforms and capabilities.
  • Accelerate & increase efficiency by continuously improving engineering & operations practices.
  • Stay abreast of and contribute to external industry trends, advancements, and innovations in technical areas of expertise.

Engaging Chapter Leadership:

  • Build and promote the vision, roadmap, and expectations for the chapter community.
  • Define and implement a workforce plan to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Responsible for decision making across the Chapter on standards, resources, and overall direction of work through proactive partnership.
  • Maintain and share knowledge and expertise on the evolving needs of customers, internal and external markets, and industry trends and changes across chapter community.
  • Oversee, navigate, and lead Chapter members through organizational complexity in support of cross-domain and cross-product area work.
  • Manage chapter members related talent reviews, performances, compensation, goal setting, development, and top talent recruitment practices.
  • Advance Diversity and Inclusion through promotion of inclusive hiring practices, mentoring and coaching.

Skills and Expertise

  • 7-10+ years of leadership experience managing technology teams with a core focus on technology product management supporting critical internet facing products.

  • Exceptional critical thinking and agile delivery skills with a penchant to enhance team and product effectiveness through mentorship, coaching and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to collaborate across business units, with peers and leadership to ensure chapter objectives and standards are aligned.

  • Proficiency in building digital experiences on a multi-channel stack that includes Angular, TypeScript, NodeJS, automation tools deployed via continuous delivery infrastructure (Jenkins, Concourse) in a cloud-based environment (AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure).
