The Role
The Vice President, Fidelity Brokerage, serves as the head of the finance function for the organization and as a trusted leader of the business. BSO (Brokerage Service & Operations) is responsible for running and growing the Fidelity retail brokerage business serving self-directed customers, one of the largest in the country. As a leader of the Finance team supporting the BSO organization, it’s your responsibility to enable fiscally-sound decision making for the business by delivering insightful and actionable financial analysis to our business partners. The candidate filling this role will lead the economic strategy for the business, including business cases around new customer and product opportunities; evaluation of pricing; and measuring the impact of the business’ ability to scale its costs as it grows.

Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

15+ years of related work experience in Financial Services with extensive experience with:

Financial analysis and business case modelling

Long-term planning and goal-setting

Portfolio management

Proven strategic leadership in a complex organization

Strong organizational and communication skills, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

FINRA Series 27 license a plus

Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority, highly visible deliverables in a deadline driven environment

Guiding management on the tech portfolio, leveraging economic analysis

Ability to lead teams of people to solve problems and answer questions

Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with proven business and financial acumen

Maintaining positive relationships with your business partners and with the broader finance community to ensure consistency in analysis approach, standards for data and definitions, and being dedicated in supporting time critical projects

Ability to lead a team – both those directly reporting to you and cross-functional teams
