Head of Sourcing, Client Engagement and Contracts

The Role

The Head of Sourcing, Client Engagement and Contracts will oversee the end-to-end sourcing and contracting lifecycle, alignment with business objectives, cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance. The role requires a strong balance of strategic vision, operational execution, stakeholder engagement, and risk management expertise.

  • Develop and lead an enterprise-wide sourcing strategy that aligns with business goals, cost savings, and supplier innovation.
  • Oversee category management framework, ensuring a structured approach to supplier selection, negotiations, and value realization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process efficiencies, and supplier consolidation while maintaining quality and service levels for the organization.
  • Oversee the contract negotiations for high-value and high-risk supplier agreements, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with legal, risk, compliance, and finance teams to structure and manage complex contracts, including service-level agreements (SLA’s) and performance metrics.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and processes to enhance governance and streamline contract execution.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical sourcing principles.
  • Function as strategic advisor to the business leaders and executive teams, aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Partner with operations, IT, finance, and legal teams to drive procurement best practices and maximize value creating.
  • Lead and participate in governance structures to prioritize sourcing initiatives, resolve escalations, and optimize supplier performance.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing sourcing, engagement and contracting team, fostering a culture of innovations and continuous improvement.
  • Implement best-in-class procurement methodologies, analytics, and technology to enhance sourcing effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other leaders across Procurement for transparency and openness on opportunities across the end-to-end source to pay process.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Master’s degree, with 15+ years of experience
  • JD preferred
  • Legal and Negotiation expertise, Contract Management, Vendor and Risk Management skills required
  • Initiative-taker who can bring together diverse perspectives and drive to action and desired outcomes
  • Experience with strategy development and change management
  • Ability to synthesize analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations
  • Ability to assess risk and operationalize findings
  • Drive decisions in complex environments
  • Skilled in building relationships with peers and executives in a variety of capacities
  • Influencing and Collaboration skills to inform critical decisions, internally and externally
  • Ability to maintain a strong risk aversion position and manage hostile Vendors through the process life cycle.
  • You have experience in the areas of Legal, Vendor, Risk and Contract Management, and Strategic Sourcing
  • You enable and lead communications with key business leaders across the enterprise
  • Ability to lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing sourcing, engagement, and contracting team members, while fostering a culture of innovations and continuous improvement
  • You possess skills to implement best-in-class procurement methodologies, analytics, and technology to enhance sourcing effectiveness
  • Ability to collaborate with other Senior leaders across Procurement, Vendor Management and Fidelity for transparency and openness on opportunities across the end-to-end source-to-pay process
  • You motivate large organizations, lead, and develop, and produce innovative organizational alignments
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

Client Engagement and Contracts is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management to optimize value, mitigate risk, and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
