Job Description:

You will lead a delivery team that’s responsible for developing and supporting a multifaceted ecosystem of products and solution in the Asset Management Cloud Platform team. You will outline a cohesive vision and define direction for the Product offering over time. You will help the team maintain that vision by creating a Product Roadmap that provides both a strategic guide for stakeholders to reference as well as an execution plan for the team to follow. You will work closely with Product Area Leaders to align that vision with the broader needs across Asset Management and Fidelity.

The Team

The Cloud Platform Team provides foundational capabilities that are leveraged by our Common Platform Services team as well as the broader Asset Management business unit. We build and maintain the cloud deployment and automation patterns that enable development teams to move quickly, securely and within compliance to the cloud.The ideal candidate must be a solid team player with a strong understanding of the application delivery cycle: design, development, build, deployment, and support.

The Expertise You Have

  • 10+ years of experience developing and supporting mission critical high-throughput, low-latency platforms

  • Expert-level knowledge of developing and supporting Flask based Python web applications

  • Designed, published, documented, and consumed APIs and REST Web Services in a secure environment

  • Experience working with OpenAPI schema definitions

  • Understanding of versioning and release practices (SCM), code collaboration practices (Git)

  • Defined targets around service performance based on Health Metrics & Service Indicators and translated into clear Service Level Objectives

  • Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts and working experience with deploying and managing applications in the Cloud (AWS S3, EC2, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC and Lambda)

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration.

  • Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and principles

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins / Jenkins Core

  • AWS Certification is a plus

  • Azure knowledge is a plus

The Skills You Bring

  • You create a clear and thorough product roadmap

  • You are accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product.

  • You define and manage the Product Backlog using Kanban process and Scrum methodology

  • You prioritize and shape the Release deliverables, assign work items and track progress with team members

  • You participate in Level 3 support for development teams that are utilizing the Platform

  • You act as the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams

  • Manage foundational solutions ensuring stability and supportability of the Platform.

  • Build quality solutions which align with the technology blueprint and best practices, solving business problems by driving design, development, quality and ongoing support

  • Maximize the value of the solutions created by the delivery team

  • Communicate with stakeholders across the board, including customers, IT managers, and development teams to make sure the goals are clear and deliverables are in-line with business and IT objectives.

  • Establish good engineering and coding practices and be the champion for the larger organization

  • Work closely with Architects to ensure adherence to the technology blueprint and roadmap

  • Investigate, prove out and incorporate new technologies and capabilities to drive the technology vision for Asset Management.
