Fidelity Workplace Consulting (FWC) is composed of over 600 professionals who advise clients on the strategy, execution and management of their domestic and global HR, benefits, and people programs.

FWC is one of the fastest growing businesses at Fidelity. The team consults with clients across all markets that Fidelity serves. Within FWC there is a distributed Global team which consists of colleagues based in the US, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and UK, and they provide a range of consulting and advisory services to their multinational clients including the following elements:

  • DC Governance & oversight
  • Retirement & Financial Wellness
  • Health Care & Well-being strategy & solutions
  • International Mobility
  • Broader support on issues related to their international reward programs, financing and their communication to employees

The Expertise We're Looking For

This VP role will report to the Head of Workplace Consulting global segment and be part of the global leadership team.

The role will be responsible for continuing to build expertise and consulting capabilities and solutions in support of Fidelity multinational clients’ needs, specific to North America. This global practice is an integral part of the professional services consulting practices and reflects Fidelity’s goals for global growth. The current practices within the group are:

  • Retirement
  • Health/Welfare and Wellness
  • Communication and Organizational Change
  • Broad Based Rewards
  • Data Solutions

This position will be responsible for help driving the development of the multi-year business plan and the innovation as Fidelity continues to grow their services and footprint. Key elements will include:

  • Workplace consulting strategy and ability to help accelerate Fidelity’s growth in the region
  • Leading and growing the team
  • Continued development of the service offerings to meet clients’ current and emerging needs
  • Implementation of a sales strategy
  • Working in partnership with other segments of Fidelity to support their product development, client retention and to expand revenue opportunities

Practice leaders in Fidelity Workplace Consulting’s business are responsible for practice leadership, managing client relationships and leading sales efforts to secure new clients or grow existing relationships. The person in the role will be responsible for delivering revenue growth goals through influencing and developing productive and positive relationships with Fidelity’s key internal business partners and clients. This is a leader/player/mentor role. The leader will be the face of the practice internally and externally across the USA and Canada.

The Skills You Bring

  • BS/BA required
  • Experience leading or holding a leadership position in an international consulting practice
  • Proven understanding of the benefits environment
  • Languages: Fluent in English
  • 15+ years of consulting experience
  • Proven track record working with major employers, including acting as a trusted partner, in the benefits, rewards and consulting space
  • Retirement, benefits and rewards strategy & solution development
  • Creation of strategies and solutions to support clients’ emerging challenges
  • Thought leadership
  • Extensive business expertise in working in large organizations with multiple business segments and partners and working across the enterprise to develop products and services and bring those to market
  • Entrepreneurship – lead development of a consulting practice, products, services, thought leadership
  • Executive presence and experience working with C-Suite and senior Finance, Risks and HR professionals
  • Diversity and Inclusion and its role in workforce and talent strategy
  • Craft programs that support the organization’s strategic objectives and are ambitious, efficient and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Experience in leading large scale projects, including defining scope, budgets, deliverables, and handling competing priorities
  • Monitor market trends to apply solutions and have experience working in environments that drive excellence, hold high standards and take a practical, and creative/innovative approach to human capital and talent management

  • Develop and continue the building of an integrated consulting practice
  • Work with other professional services consulting practices to develop broader client solutions
  • Sustainable growth and career opportunities
  • Innovative solutions that help Fidelity’s clients excel in developing and implementing their strategies
  • Collaborate directly with key strategic partners internal to Workplace Consulting and Fidelity, senior client business executives and critical partners to drive the talent strategy agenda
  • Partner with other segments of Fidelity in supporting their product development, client attraction/retention and creating additional revenue sources
  • Develop resources, frameworks, toolkits, trainings and communications to support established and new processes, data research and tools
The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
