The Role
We build incredible benefits solutions in Workplace Investing. The WI Client & Participant Services Engineering & Automation team has a broad responsibility of supporting our clients in every aspect of operations from new client implementations, Backoffice processing to client service teams. We build tools and capabilities to support them. We have multiple applications and platforms focused on increasing efficiency, improving quality, and helping to streamline complex processes. We are looking for an architect who will partner to help our team support governance as well as helping to select the right tools and platforms for our developers while aligning with architecture standards and blueprint. You will provide leadership through structured discovery and problem analysis, data-driven decision making, adoption of standards, collaboration with key partners and evaluations and recommendations of solutions.
The Expertise You Have
- 10+ years in software development role including as principal lead developer. Architecture experience is nice to have.
- Experience in partnering with product leaders to implement product strategy and roadmap.
- Experience in producing technical architecture and related artifacts to support implementation.
- Experience in delivering application architectures which connect multiple systems to deliver business outcomes.
- Collaborating with peer architects to align on standards, strategy, and opportunities to refactor.
- Ability to work with different levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
The Skills You Bring
- Comfortable partnering with product partners to formulate strategies and roadmap.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and solutions to agile teams.
- Financial industry experience is a plus.
- Experience in building .NET Framework and .NET Core applications and APIs.
- Experience in building Angular applications.
- Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is nice to have
- Experience with Java is nice to have

The Team

The Engineering & Automation team delivers and supports applications for all our Backoffice associates, we support every team. From automation of financial transactions to supporting call center associates working directly with our plan sponsors. In this role you will closely work with the technical teams to provide governance, support technical leadership and architecture direction.
As part of the WI Technology Architecture team, you will enable this business transformation by providing strategic direction, transitional and future state architecture and inform the right set of technologies. You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define appropriate architecture direction for them. By working closely with Solution Architects and Agile teams, you will assess and ensure how proposed solutions to specific initiatives align with broader WI goals and strategies.
