Vice President, Finance

The Role

The Fidelity Wealth Finance team is looking for a Vice President whose leadership skills will contribute to the success of the Investment Advisor Group (IAG) while supporting Fidelity Wealth’s financial objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Fidelity Wealth Finance, you will be the primary Finance partner providing strategic decision support, planning direction, and business analytics for the 9,000 person and $2.5 Trillion in assets Investor Advisor Group. You will build and deliver critical strategies to support our Investor Centers, Private Wealth Management, Executive Services, Advanced Planning & Leadership Development, and Advisor and Business Development functions with a keen focus on scale. Key partners include IAG teams members, HR, Strategy and Planning, Business and Finance teams across Wealth and Fidelity.

  • Be a strategic advisor to the domain leader, providing analyses and insights to advise decisions, highlighting potential risks, dependencies and tradeoffs.
  • Lead a team of people managers and analysts providing financial planning, expense management, and advancement of domain scorecards
  • Partner with key business and finance leaders across Fidelity
  • Improve insight into cost drivers and efficiency levers to develop a financially-informed culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactively building consultative relationships across Finance and the business.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop financial analyst talent and be a culture carrier for the organization

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent and 12-15+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 10-12+ years of experience
  • A successful track record in financial P&L management and analysis
  • Prior finance experience supporting client facing distribution organizations is a plus
  • Proven experience in influencing executive teams on implications of decisions on financials and operating environments
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical capability to analyze sophisticated issues and translate efficient use of resources and delivery data in support of strategy, executive decision-making and business results
  • Proven track record to think and work across Fidelity, navigate organizational complexity, and think in terms of networks
  • Proven ability to align strategy and focused execution
  • Trusted advisor to senior level executives
  • Expertise in integrating Finance and business knowledge to support specific needs of domain leaders
  • Desire and ability to build and empower effective, outcome-driven teams through proven organizational, coaching, and mentoring skills
