The Role

In the Domain Delivery Manager role, you and your team are accountable for synthesizing and communicating domain level strategy and roadmap, whilst also project managing all complex initiatives within your domain. You will partner with a broad set of stakeholders including the Head of AMT Strategy, Domain Leader, Product Area Leaders and Chapter Leaders. You will collaborate with your peers across domains and the AMT level head of strategy to ensure the AMT level strategy and roadmap are inclusive of critical milestones and strategic objectives of your domain. You will ensure the strategy and roadmap for both your domain and AMT are represented clearly to our business partners and enterprise stakeholders.

This role will also include a focus on Alternatives, supporting the development of a technology strategy and roadmap for Liquid and Credit Alternatives and the program management of cross organizational initiatives supporting the future growth and scaling of the alternative products.

Responsibilities

You will be accountable for synthesizing the strategy for the domain, including a focus on Alternatives, working collaboratively with the product and chapter areas, who are accountable for the definition of the strategy. You will develop, promote and maintain the strategy and roadmap at the domain level.

You will coordinate, improve, and maximize delivery at the domain and program level. You and your team will be responsible for program and project management of multiple complex projects across your domain and across AMT as required

You are a mature and effective leader, with the ability to both influence when you do not have direct accountability and drive when you have direct accountability.

Focus Areas

Initiative Cohesion

  • Ensure delivery goals are clearly articulated and understood for each value delivery stream across the initiative.

  • Ensure adherence to technical and quality standard practices across a cross-domain or cross-enterprise initiative.

  • Complete quarterly planning activities for the strategy and initiatives, ensuring achievement, milestones and risks are clear

  • Setup and manage the appropriate governance structure(s) around initiatives

Integrated Delivery

  • Continuously factor scope of work, capacity needs, and prioritization into an integrated execution plan and delivery roadmap with release forecasts.

  • Manage dependencies, risks, and impediments for the initiative and raise when needed.

  • Establish and lead key scaled events at both value delivery stream and initiative levels.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve how the initiative is performing

  • Lead integrated initiative release management practices and support end-to-end testing coordination.

Communication

  • Establish communication practices through which to share delivery plans, coordinate roadmap adjustments, and provide transparency into plans and progress.

  • Provide updates to leadership on status of initiative including progress, risks, challenges, achievements, and metrics.

  • Work with your peers across domains to build a consistent communication harness for AMT

The Expertise and Skills You Have

  • 10+ years of delivery or project management experience managing large, highly complex technology programs

  • Familiarity with scaled delivery frameworks

  • Strong investment domain knowledge with a background in Alternatives

  • Strong grasp of business context and product lifecycle management, grounded upon customer outcomes

  • Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and experience working closely with software engineers to deliver large scale technology initiatives

  • Ability to drive and align execution of the Program with all stakeholders to a shared Initiative across Product Teams, Functions, Domains, and BUs

  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, scaled practices, processes, and artifacts

  • Strong focus on execution with the ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments at scale

  • Strong change management skills

  • Proven strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and articulate connections across separate, but related, concepts

  • Strong ability to lead and influence behavior without formal authority

  • Proven excellence in communication and people-interaction skills

  • Continuous improvement attitude when thinking of the longevity of the Program and future delivery support model

  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to understand key trends across technology, both within and outside of Fidelity, and apply takeaways locally

  • Experience encouraging Agile behaviors, reinforcing practices, norms, events, and supporting the overall performance and efficiency of the Program

  • Experience creating an environment for psychological safety and highly engaged teams at the Product and Domain level

  • Proven success working across multiple Products and Domains to drive coordination and delivery of the Program

  • Experience championing adoption and consistent use of delivery enabling tools and data for strategic planning, prioritization, and managing the work (e.g., Jira Align, Miro, Power BI, etc.)

  • Strong experience curating, communicating, and managing Program status, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders
