Designs and develops software applications with programming languages (Python, JavaScript, and Java). Deploys Application Program Interfaces (APIs) in the cloud through automation with integrated security and testing. Coordinates and operates Datadog platform to provide reliable and secure access to logs, metrics, and traces across the hybrid cloud environment. Instruments, generates, collects, and exports telemetry data to analyze software performance and behavior using Prometheus, Open Telemetry, Grafana, M3, and other open source observability tools. Develops applications on Cloud with Infrastructure as Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Interprets large data sets using query languages and visualization tools.
Implements process improvements within Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environment.
Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects.
Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.

Triages the health of deployed applications using modern observability tools.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and designing optimized software systems and applications using Python, JavaScript, and Go.
Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and designing optimized software systems and applications using Python, JavaScript, and Go.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing Cloud platforms in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure; developing Concourse pipeline automation using Python and CloudFormation templates, and integrating ARM templates, using AWS and Azure services (S3 buckets), Native Databases (RDS and DynamoDB), API Gateways, Compute Services (EC2 and ECS), serverless functions (Azure functions/Lambda), and AI based services.
DE automating end-to-end workflows, and defining and building API integrations, using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, and Ansible; and building, maintaining, and automating Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to support enterprise platforms and initiatives.
DE implementing observability tools -- Splunk or Datadog – to monitor and maintain the system performance.
DE developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and automation status result dashboards.
