The Role

The Director, PW Advice Engagement plays a critical role in helping to develop and manage our overall engagement approach for PW Advice, a top 25 enterprise priority to extend our participant & sponsor offering for planning and discretionary management across workplace and retail assets. Reporting to the VP, Wealth Solutions PW Advice Engagement, this role will work in close partnership across the enterprise, especially with partners in Workplace as well as within Wealth and Distribution / Investor Services. The successful Director will possess a one Fidelity customer attitude, a collaborative approach, and an open and innovative mentality to work through complex scenarios! This role is ideal for someone with a customer-centric business and program management background, with experience across both workplace and our retail businesses.As a member of Fidelity’s Wealth Solutions PW Advice team, you will be tasked to build / lead / manage work in the following areas:

  • Value Proposition Development: Use strong story-telling skills to marry insights, customer needs, and financial modeling to build the outline of the value story of the new B2B2C offering for sponsors / clients and participant / customers. Collaboration is key for this individual to work closely with workplace and retail product teams, marketing organizations, relationship management groups to build the sales and engagement materials for our plan sponsor clients (B2B) as well as the plan participants / retail prospects (B2B2C)
  • Integrated Customer Experience – Service Model: Partner closely with the distribution teams, workplace teams, and other matrixed team members to build out the new service model to support this offering, leading with the plan for the MVP pilot and then new evolving into the full workplace – retail offering.
  • Program Management: Implement program management activities for the sponsor and participant value story materials as well as the service model design. Establish milestones, highlight risks/dependencies, coordinate with key team members, manage progression, communicate progress/status, establishing and leading program governance and organizational communication to pilot and full roll-out.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of proven experience in financial services, with focus in go-to market strategy, consulting and/or program management
  • You are a proactive self-starter who thrives on tackling critical initiatives and consistently achieving business results.
  • You have experience in environments where speed, adaptability, and innovation are critical to success.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence without authority.
    • Experience and proficiency in cross enterprise collaboration in an agile, client centric, fast paced environment. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
    • Proven experience in driving strategy and implementation for large and complex, cross company initiatives.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
    • Able to document and distill information, develop solutions and draft scenarios, informing requirements, the business case, roadmap and implementation plan. Expertise in leveraging data to inform project management, ongoing discussion to decision and to drive business KPIs.
    • Skilled at storytelling. Able to take in nuanced information and distill it down into a clear, simple story for executive presentations
    • Strong executive presentation and persuasion skills to achieve consensus with multiple audiences, often managing materials and point of view for the executive / C-suite.
  • Understanding of Fidelity’s retail wealth advice offerings, sales / service models, and experience in the workplace preferred. Able to navigate the organization and build strong working relationships with key partners across Wealth, Workplace, Asset Management, Finance, CKSI and Legal.

The Team

The Wealth Solutions Strategy and Planning team is at the center of the Wealth Solutions Domain. The role will partner across the Wealth business, Workplace, Finance, CKSI, Distribution, Legal, Risk and Compliance. In partnership with the two VPs leading this initiative within the Wealth Solutions business, this role will focus on the commercial work underway to develop an integrated cross-over solution (workplace + retail) to drive One Fidelity value in our participant & sponsor planning and discretionary offering.
