The Role

Do you want to work for the #1 provider of nonqualified deferred compensation (NQDC) services who is investing significantly to simplify, streamline, and innovate our NQDC experience?

We’re looking for a dynamic, motivated NQDC Business Intelligence Strategist to join our team! You will work across our matrixed product, sales, service, and support teams to develop and implement strategies to deliver actionable insights from a broad array of data. You will help drive better outcomes by undertaking new analysis, communicating insights compellingly, and working across the organization. If you thrive in a face-paced, start-up environment, like to think broadly, yet still go deep and contribute to market leading innovations, then this opportunity is for you.

The Expertise You Have

  • Experience: Bring over 10 years of financial services experience, preferably in data analytics, as well as some combination of financial reporting and product management, with a consistent track record of driving successful analytics product development and adoption.

  • Proven experience in business analytics, strategy development, and execution.

  • Strong understanding of business intelligence tools and data visualization techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience with data centralization and management (e.g., data lakes) is a plus.

The Skills You Bring

  • Passion for understanding complex problems with data and developing a communication strategy to help a large organization understand and act.

  • Ability to navigate many sources of data and business partners, interacting with them to complete analytical needs while maintaining a clear strategy and understanding of inconsistencies.

  • Excellent communication skills to prepare clear visual, written, and spoken content to influence stakeholders at various levels across the organization

  • A continuous improvement approach, willingness to challenge the status quo and push for new thinking.

  • A data-focused approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoff analyses.

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices is crucial for ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of client data.

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a strategic roadmap that aligns with broader organizational goals. A deep understanding of client needs and the ability to translate those needs into roadmap is essential.

  • Technical Knowledge: The ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and extract meaningful insights is crucial for developing effective analytics and reporting products.

  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms and familiarity with data visualization techniques is a plus. You have a shown ability to craft and implement analytics solutions that optimally communicate sophisticated analytics in a clear and understandable format on your own and/or working through a team.

  • Product Management: Experience in product management, including defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with data integration & technology (e.g., APIs, data exchange technology, future technology direction)

  • Dedication to serving our clients and their participants—listening to client’s feedback and driving higher levels of engagement, simplifying their end-to-end experiences, engaging them in an inclusive manner, and setting them up for better outcomes.

Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

The Value You Deliver

  • Develop and execute strategies to inform multiyear resourcing and priorities.

  • Inventory and map current data and routines where business metrics are delivered.

  • Formulate and implement strategies around business intelligence, plan benchmarking, insights, and analytics.

  • Conduct interviews with key business partners to scope out new views and insights.

  • Identify data sources and opportunities for centralization, such as data lakes.

  • Serve as the point of contact for product, finance, implementations, operations, and other departments.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, client needs, and the competition.

  • Analyze data to gain insights into company performance.

  • Collaborate with different teams within the company to implement proposed strategies.

  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of business strategies.

  • Identify potential risks or issues with business operations and suggest changes to mitigate them.

  • Develop and present detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on strategy performance.

  • Create prototype dashboards and routines that deliver actionable business intelligence.

  • Develop and deliver a multi-year roadmap and resource plan to support long-term business goals.
