The Group
The Systematic Equity Strategies (SES) team resides within Fidelity’s broader Quantitative Research and Investments (QRI) organization. QRI is responsible for the management and development of new quantitative strategies and solutions while providing high quality quantitative, data-driven support to Fidelity’s investment professionals, ensuring they have access to the most relevant data and advanced quantitative analysis. The investment and research team dedicated to SES is responsible for the research, design, development, and implementation of systematic active and tax-managed equity strategies. AUM is approximately $30B and spans multiple equity products and customized separately managed accounts serving both intermediary and institutional investors.
The Role
As an Investment Director, you will work closely with the SES institutional portfolio managers and investment team developing an understanding of the investment philosophy, process, and ongoing activities of the custom separately manage account (tax managed) solution. As an internal subject matter expert, you will work closely with the investment team and internal partners to deliver portfolio and business level analysis supporting client relationships and new business opportunities. Additionally, the role will identify and partner with cross functional teams to improve workflows and support the development of technology and applications to aid the investment management organization and business partners.
The Value You Deliver
Contribute to the delivery of client centric investment content: account review presentations, account transition analysis, attribution analysis, marketing related pitchbooks and product summaries.
Serve a primary role supporting the investment content used in completing complex RFPs and ad-hoc client requests inclusive of organizing workflow within the investment team towards completion.
Build, maintain and grow partnerships across the distribution organization to broaden investment understanding and overall awareness of competitive strengths.
Support focus on investment and product education, as well as thought leadership initiatives.
Assist in identifying and defining workflows, support models, and resourcing to create efficiencies and help implement business requirements with internal partners.
Collaborate with SES institutional portfolio managers and product management team developing investment guidelines, competitive differentiators, and marketing strategy.
Partner with investment team and internal partners to define and develop investment analytics for usage in client reporting and marketing materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, progress toward an advanced degree and/or CFA a plus.
3-10 years of investment related experience with a quantitative/systematic focus.
Preference for familiarity with tax managed investment products.
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and FactSet.
Coding proficiency a plus.
