The Role

We are looking for a Director, Business Management Program Lead who will drive the strategy and execution of large complex initiatives, working closely with a team of multi-disciplinary and dedicated team members, fostering collaboration across Fidelity to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.

This role requires significant coordination and collaboration across Fidelity Technology.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Large, complex program management and workstream delivery
  • Developing and driving the program’s execution strategy and will be accountable for facilitating effective planning
  • Working with leaders to facilitate scope of work and prioritization
  • Developing program roadmaps and coordinate release plans
  • Managing dependencies, risks, and impediments for the workstream and escalating when needed
  • Facilitating both strategic and tactical discussions with the product teams and delivery teams to achieve a common objective
  • Collaborating across multiple level of the organization
  • Creating executive level communication for internal updates, effectively communicating complex ideas and provide recommendations when needed
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve the way the program is performing
  • Manage the timeline and budget

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – influencing leadership through relationship building and data-driven models.
  • Partner across Fidelity Technology to understand unique business needs and help develop collaborative solutions to support portfolio management needs
  • Participate in various working teams and strategic projects designed to increase the effectiveness of our portfolio management practices
  • Champion technology engagement for all levels of the organization to ensure all voices are represented
  • Ability to think strategically, analyzing multiple data points and trends to develop hypotheses on cause / effect and recommended action plans

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years in consulting or program management roles, knowledge of program management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Consultant background preferred: The position requires significant management consulting, strategy, or similar experience with at least one year in the project manager role, preferably with a large consulting firm or in a strategy group.
  • Leadership: Proven experiences leading teams or driving large, sophisticated programs for a sizable organization.
  • Communication: Strong executive presence and storytelling skills. You can work across multiple organizations and consolidate information into an engaging, cohesive story and experience.
  • Analysis: You can lead a team through a complex strategic, analytical, and problem-solving process with the ability to identify and articulate connections across separate, but related concepts.
  • Effective influence: Using your diplomacy skills, you can build consensus and stakeholder advocacy to influence positive outcomes on behalf of your team, Fidelity Technology, and enterprise priorities. You have a proven track record of collaborating to build consensus across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative: An outstanding partner, you excel at establishing and building relationships through collaboration and a mutual commitment to success.
  • Technically Savvy: You are comfortable in engaging with the technical community to develop the right solutions to meet our portfolio management needs.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to changing needs and shifting priorities.
