Job Description:

The Role

As a Data Product Manager within Stock Plan Services (SPS), you will lead the vision and strategy for a multi-year recordkeeping data product that supports both near-term recordkeeping goals aligned to long-term aspirations for data innovation. You will be accountable for defining business data subjects for our plan admin recordkeeping needs and working with technology leaders and delivery teams in delivering near-term solutions towards longer term business data needs and power API-driven solutions. Through your foresight and oversight you will support near-term execution in delivery squads aligned to long-term strategic goals for the plan admin product that lay the foundation for using data to drive innovation.

You will apply your deep stock plan expertise with data product management knowledge to drive innovation, ensure adoption of data standards, and deliver differentiated business value. You will work cross-functionally with technology, architecture, governance, and capability teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and excellence in data delivery.

You will also have a strong 'look ahead' mentality, anticipating future customer needs, market trends, and technical dependencies to build a proactive and resilient product roadmap. As part of planning, you will identify risks and opportunities early, align resources across the domain effectively, and ensure seamless execution of long-term strategies. Your ability to think several steps ahead will be critical in driving innovation, avoiding delivery bottlenecks, and maintaining alignment with business goals. Ideal candidates will have a passion for strategic planning, a collaborative spirit, and a proven track record of delivering value through foresight and preparation.

The Team

You will collaborate closely with the Product Area Leader, development squads, Chapter Leaders, and key stakeholders across SPS and the enterprise. You will foster a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement while promoting Fidelity’s leadership principles and values.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in data product management, systems development, or technical leadership roles.

  • Proven ability to define and execute data strategies aligned with innovative business outcomes.

  • Strong fluency of data as a product thinking with data platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and monitor governance frameworks to drive adherence to a data strategy.

  • Experience with API development, data replication, and platform readiness (risk, compliance, performance).

  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and enterprise taxonomy.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving adoption of standards.

  • Proven ability to accept ambiguity and knowledge of how to apply your problem-solving skills to find your way out of the fog

  • Capable of collaborating across multiple teams and partners in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to think strategically and for the long term without sacrificing pace over perfection

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

  • Financial services experience and Agile methodology exposure are strong pluses.

The Value You Deliver

  • Leading the definition and execution of equity compensation plan admin data product strategy across multiple squads and platforms.

  • Delivering robust data platform capabilities, including APIs, pipelines, and infrastructure readiness.

  • Driving adoption of data standards and practices across capability squads and environments.

  • Partnering with COEs (e.g., Architecture, Data Modeling, Governance) to ensure scalable and compliant solutions.

  • Prioritizing and managing a unified backlog of data-centric initiatives aligned with business goals.

  • Supporting data technology innovation through proofs-of-concept (e.g., data bridging, translation layers).

  • Ensuring data quality, reconciliation, archival, retention, and metadata management across the ecosystem.

  • Measuring and reporting on the performance and impact of data initiatives using critical metrics and scorecards.
