The Role

Strategic Advisors Technology is seeking an IT Product Manager to join our team, focusing on the Model Management area of the business. In this role, you blend project management and product management expertise, with a passion for delivering results. You will work in in an Agile structure of several collaborating squads across geographic regions, where you will partner with Squad Leads, Chapter Leads, Scrum Masters, and other Fidelity leaders. This group has responsibility for building and maintaining the products that enable the Model Management function within Fidelity’s Strategic Advisors team to deliver valuable investment solutions to our clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Finance or Information Technology

  • 10+ years of experience in program management and/or product management. Project/Program management accreditation a plus.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum/Scrum at Scale, preferably in a financial services organization. Proficient in Agile and project management tools, including Jira/JiraAlign.

  • Strong focus on project execution and ability to identify, communicate and mitigate risks, issues and impediments to progress

  • Ability to partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities in large and complex organizations, preferably with experience of investment management

  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products, with the ability to understand and influence the direction of complex solutions

  • Proven experience managing deployment and support processes for Cloud and on-prem platforms in an enterprise software environment

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with an ability to mine data to provide insights to teams and stakeholders; high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and a track record of building highly effective teams

  • Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships with peers and stakeholders as you work across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach

  • Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.

The Value you Deliver

  • You are accountable, along with the team's Scrums Masters and Squad Leads, for the efficient delivery of product increments according to the Release Plan, monitoring the execution of sprints and overseeing the planning and execution of software releases

  • You will partner with the team and business stakeholders to oversee ongoing planning and prioritization routines and ensure alignment on when work is to be performed and resource needs and availability

  • You will influence the plan’s goals, prioritization calls and solution approaches, and assist in the development of a Product Area-level roadmap

  • You champion the evolution, establishment and monitoring of key metrics that evaluate team progress, results, and drive organizational excellence

  • Partner with Chapter and Engineering Leads to optimize development and delivery processes and maximize how the team delivers value

  • Organize, facilitate and run effective stakeholder meetings and ensure strong governance routines are in place across the group and its projects

  • You will take the lead on specific key projects, partnering with the team’s leaders and business stakeholders to define project goals and scope, and put a plan in place

  • For key projects, you will drive project tracking and governance routines, including executive updates

  • You champion an agile way of working and practices of continuous improvement throughout the team.
