Develops and implements media strategy, activation, and optimization of advertising investment. Analyzes complex problems, interprets operational needs, and develops integrated solutions. Aligns with various marketing partners to understand their goals and develop paid media strategies and plans to support advertising objectives and ensure a positive customer experience. Advances the paid advertising capability within Fidelity as a media center of excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports all aspects of channel recommendations, including approving buys, campaign monitoring, and guiding media optimizations.
- Works closely with external media agencies across planning, activation, and analytics.
- Ensures optimal customer experience with respect to channel strategy, bringing forward innovations that improve experience and reduce barriers for transaction.
- Works closely with internal teams -- Marketing, Creative, Marketing Activation and Analytics – to help coordinate owned media efforts.
- Packages summarization of media plan and performance highlights for executive presentations.
- Presents strategic insights to stakeholders and senior executives to advance marketing measurement and analytical capabilities.
- Prepares reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
- Measures the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
- Forecasts and tracks marketing trends, analyzing collected data.
- Develops and implements procedures for identifying advertising needs.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Marketing (or closely related occupation) executing integrated cross-channel marketing plans within a highly regulated industry.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Marketing (or closely related occupation) executing integrated cross-channel marketing plans within a highly regulated industry.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) informing marketing optimization and identifying key factors and trends impacting media performance, using competitive media and macroeconomic data relevant to target audiences and market; and providing a current Point of View on evolving media landscape, emerging technologies, and consumer trends.
- DE driving successful planning using Jira and the Agile methodology, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns; and maximizing ROI/ROAS, using Excel, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, comScore, and YouGov.
- DE contributing to the planning and rollout of integrated marketing campaigns, defining channel mix and budget allocation based on data and analytical skills, and performing strategic budgetary tradeoffs to accomplish goals, targeting business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences; and negotiating fees and contracts with media partners, executing digital media buys and performing optimization on platforms (Google and Meta).
- DE supporting project teams involved in developing and implementing measurement frameworks, data analysis, and insights for owned media efforts (onsite and mobile marketing, email, and landing zone); and contributing to team collaboration and growth.
