Position Description:

Improves and maintains data analytics systems to drive innovation and modernization, using software development languages (Python, Java, .NET, Python, and R). Stores, processes, analyzes and derives actionable insights from data, using relation databases – SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 big data environments (Hadoop and Snowflake). Applies Cloud processing to support scalability, security, and collaboration in data storage environments (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure), using Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to derive insights. Transforms raw data into actionable items using data exploration, visual analytic concepts, and business intelligence (BI) tools (OBIEE and Tableau). Performs data mining and data modeling to structured and unstructured data sources (including digital interactions, call transcripts, customer profile attributes, platform logs, operational metrics, and financial transactions). Creates and publishes interactive reports and dashboards, using Tableau, Adobe, and Excel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivers data-driven and useful insights to enable objective and informed decisions.
  • Improves data analytics and insights capabilities and recommends data-driven solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Analyzes, manipulates, and processes large sets of data.
  • Cleans and manipulates raw data, using statistical software.
  • Analyzes customer interactions at every touchpoint to measure usability, effectiveness, and client satisfaction within the overall cross-channel client journey.
  • Presents and delivers actionable insights and recommendations to senior business leaders and product owners, enabling objective, informed business, and product decisions.
  • Continuously improves data analytics and insights capabilities, monitors innovation across the analytics industry.
  • Drives improvements to the digital experience for customers with industry-leading data analytics and visualization approaches and tools.
  • Partners with business stakeholders to understand critical business and data needs, to assess opportunities, and to measure resulting impacts of product and service enhancements.
  • Collaborates effectively with product managers, technology partners, and other functional leaders in an Agile development environment.
  • Maintains a transparent and efficient project workflow focused on optimizing efficiency and ensuring data integrity.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Quantitative Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing end-to-end audit testing and data analysis to validate controls, identify exceptions, and generate data-driven audit insight in the financial services industry, using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, R, and Python.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Finance, Quantitative Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Manager, Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing end-to-end audit testing and data analysis to validate controls, identify exceptions, and generate data-driven audit insight in the financial services industry, using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, R, and Python.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) transforming data, analyzing data models, and delivering data visualization solutions within a financial services environment, using Tableau, Power BI, Python, MS Visual Studio, and Excel; and developing user stories and acceptance criteria, using JIRA and JIRA Align, to support Kanban board and Scrum meetings as a dual hat Scrum Master.
  • DE applying data wrangling, cleansing, and modeling techniques to large structured and semi-structured datasets, using R, Python and SQL, in support of audit and regulatory insights; and developing analytics solutions to automate audit procedures and support data transformation tasks, improving efficiency and repeatability in audit testing.
  • DE performing statistical and data analysis -- financial transactions, brokerage operations, assets, flows, redemptions, and product data analysis -- to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations, using SQL and Python; and developing data visualizations and dynamic and interactive dashboards and analysis to support stakeholder requirements (oversight and risk ad-hoc requests, and implementation of end user adoption of online tools), using Power BI.
  • DE performing data analytics lifecycle in an audit environment -- engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and conducting exploratory analysis, using SQL, R, and Python; and documenting code logic and communicating findings through dashboards, using reporting tools (Power BI and Excel).

Salary: $109,200.00 - $141,000.00/year.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
