The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to service and maintain commercial HVAC systems including VRF, split systems, rooftop units, and related equipment. As a member of Fidelity’s Engineering Operations team, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that equipment operates reliably, and the uptime of the facility is supported. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be self-performing or overseeing vendor-performed maintenance on critical equipment serving mission critical rooms and offices. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, commercial experience, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include:
Performs all preventive and remedial maintenance work on building electrical systems to assure critical distribution systems including the generators and UPS requirements are met with minimal adverse business impact!
Demonstrates the ability to monitor multiple building systems, correcting deficient performance through BAS adjustments, on-site remedial maintenance and effective emergency response actions when required.
Direct and assist as necessary, vendors/contractors performing remedial repair activities.
Uses tools, processes, procedures, and notifies/advises superiors as appropriate to ensure the consistent flow of information and activities.
Complete daily log entries / update engineering staff via email.
Support Fidelity’s ISO-14001 Environmental Management System
Demonstrates the ability to employ both an mechanical riser and one-line diagram to locate, employ or correct faulty equipment.
Finishing all critical maintenance on time and with attention to detail.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring
Refrigeration Technician license or in-depth experience with VRF or Commercial Split Systems including an EPA 608 Certificate.
3 years of related facilities experience with Commercial Building HVAC systems including VRF or Commercial Split Systems. (Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, etc.)
Ensure that all equipment is installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and industry standards
Prepare and review commissioning documentation, including test procedures and as-built drawings
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction documents and OM manuals.
Controls experience (BACnet, building automation systems)
Knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, CMMS and BMS systems..
Ability to develop and maintain procedures such as SOP, MOP etc.
Highly organized and diligent to balance maintenance priorities and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50lbs
Comfortable working on rooftops and ladders
Ability to work in various weather conditions

The Team
The Engineering Team is responsible for the 365/24/7 monitoring/triage and maintenance for all critical infrastructure systems. The team works to ensure equipment operates reliably, and the uptime of the facility is supported.
The base salary range for this position is $60,000-115,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
