Job Description:

Reporting into the Head of Asset Management (AM) Finance, Strategy and Oversight, you will lead the AM Line finance team that delivers forward-looking financial planning, P&L stewardship, and data-driven strategic insights across the many of Asset Management’s investments, technology and support business divisions, partnering effectively with senior team leaders. You will also oversee the AM Board Finance team, responsible for the end-to-end financial governance for the annual contract renewals with the Fidelity Fund Boards, resulting in 16+ billion of revenue each year. In addition, this role will serve as Chief Financial Officer, Director, and Executive Committee member of Fidelity Institutional Asset Management Trust Company, providing financial governance, shaping its strategy, capital and risk posture, and financial reporting while representing the franchise with senior internal and external stakeholders.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

You bring 15+ years of progressive finance leadership within asset management or closely related financial services. You must have experience organizing and leading complex projects, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and monitoring and responding to unforeseen dependencies in a deadline-driven environment. You have strong interpersonal skills, proactively building consultative relationships at multiple levels across the finance function and the business. You have significant experience in leading large finance teams and developing talent while creating an inclusive environment. Additional skills include:

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling, and financial control skills.

  • The ability to move the business forward by facilitating collaborative conversations, providing quality data and insights, offering a strategic decision-making framework and perspective, and influencing a decision.

  • Confidence, business maturity, and ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of a complex organization.

  • Outstanding communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • The requisite balance of interpersonal skills and analytical abilities, and the ability to recognize impact on others and adapt to be effective in different situations.

  • Demonstrated ability to consult and influence senior leader actions.

The Value You Deliver

This role is a trusted financial partner to our Asset Management business and will bring a balance of vision and discipline, providing strategic and economic insight on every key decision.

  • Leading and developing team of ~40 finance associates, including accountability for key talent management processes including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance reviews and other career development activities.

  • Leading the team in developing and making recommendations for key issues or opportunities using broad external context and internal views.

  • Creating an inclusive climate that values and rewards contributions, driving, initiative, and achievement of results.

The Team

The Asset Management Finance and Fund Oversight (FFO) team partners across Asset Management to drive long-term strategy and uphold fiduciary standards for Fidelity and our customers. FFO further supports AM business lines and boards by providing financial expertise and insights, compliance leadership, leading strategic initiatives, providing independent oversight of investment offerings, supporting Fund Boards, and more.

The base salary range for this position is $185,000-$400,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
