The Role

Reporting to the VP of Investment Operations, the Director supports Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) by performing the day-to-day operations of digital asset investment products. In this diverse role, the Director will interact with the front office, business partners, fund administrators, investment professionals, software engineers, trading counterparties, and external vendors and will perform activities that reach across each of these domains.

This person will support the trade and investment lifecycle and associated processes from a day-to-day management and oversight perspective. They will coordinate the flow of funds into/out of investment products and ensure operational risks and controls are appropriately aligned. In addition to day‑to‑day responsibilities, the Director will provide operational support and direction for new product development and product launches through working with our internal and external business partners to support trading and operational capabilities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 8 years of proven experience in front office trading operations, with strong exposure to trade lifecycle management, execution support, and settlement processes

  • Prior digital asset experience or a demonstrated personal experience in cryptocurrency and emerging digital asset trends is strongly preferred.

  • Capable of providing subject matter expertise, leadership, and general direction within trading and investment operations and digital assets

  • Provides training and mentorship to the team on trade operations and digital assets

  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis on business and/or financial services preferred

  • Comprehensive understanding of trading workflows

  • Ability to forecast and plan operational support of new products

  • Quality delivery and execution; attention to detail is paramount

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate optimally

  • Experience working in a fast paced, multifaceted asset management environment

  • Desire to work alongside investment professionals and senior leaders

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing process improvements

The Team

Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) is building an investment platform offering digital asset products and services designed to meet the growing needs of Fidelity’s retail customers and intermediary and institutional clients. The Investment Operations team is a highly collaborative group working on projects across the FDAM organization to enable new operational capabilities and product launches.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
