The Role
The team is responsible for delivering business consulting and practice management insights to IWMS clients and prospective clients.
We help our wealth management clients grow their businesses, enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, and increase profitability. As a Director, you will play a role in delivering consulting services including programs, thought leadership and data-driven insights to wealth management executives and advisors.
This role works closely with the sales and relationship management teams, as well as internal business partners and requires a leader and standout colleague who works to improve the capabilities of the overall team, ultimately providing an outstanding experience to our clients.
This role will contribute to our success by driving commercial opportunities all while developing relationships across client leadership and with other industry centers of influence.
The Expertise and The Skills You Bring
Undergraduate degree required/ Advanced degree preferred
5 years of experience within the financial services industry
Deep expertise in intermediary clients (RIA models preferred) with demonstrated success in business consulting and/ or practice management
Series 7, 63 preferred. Required to obtain within 90 days
Must be willing to travel - 30-40% of the time
Analytical, strategic-thinking, and creative problem-solving skills including ability to analyze and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to express complex business concepts and technical terms to a broad audience.
Effectively influence senior management (both internal to Fidelity and at the C-level client) through both personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations
Strong drive, take initiative, demonstrate outstanding collaboration skills, and you are customer-centric, and results driven
Abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our clients’ businesses
Strong interpersonal skills, can effectively influence, and build solid relationships.

Acting as a leader and subject matter expert, directly engaging with business consulting and practice management programs to help clients achieve their goals.

Identify and collaborate with third parties to help clients implement recommendations or provide benefit of additional expertise
Maintaining extensive knowledge of Fidelity’s products and solutions and the IWMS platform, as well as our competitive position within the marketplace
Building and delivering clear, concise and insightful presentations to wealth management firms’ C-suites and Fidelity senior management teams

The Team
IWMS provides a comprehensive clearing, custody, brokerage services, investment products, trading capabilities, and consulting to registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies and retirement record keepers. The IWMS consulting team consists of ~40 consultants responsible for delivery of business and technology consulting to drive client growth. As part of team, you will gain exposure to wide variety of strategic client business challenges and have an opportunity to develop as a leader and as a voice in the wealth management industry.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$222,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
