The Role
As key members of the Managed Accounts Investment Product team we are responsible for partnering with investment and distribution partners to develop, implement and support the diverse set of investment solutions offered by Strategic Advisers. We are fortunate to contribute to Fidelity’s rapidly growing advice business and capabilities with a focus on single asset class, multi-asset class, and multi-account solutions offered to retail, workplace, or institutional investors.
Another important role is to act as liaison between Strategic Advisers investment professionals and key product, sales and service, communications, legal and compliance business partners. In close partnership with Fidelity’s distribution channels, we help to effectively communicate our investment capabilities in terms of clear and powerful value drivers for clients!
In this role you will be part of a diverse, collaborative, and adaptive team tasked with helping grow Fidelity’s advice solutions in the market. Primary Responsibilities
The responsibilities within Strategic Advisers managed account offerings/capabilities will contribute to several exciting areas of the business.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a subset of solutions offered by Strategic Advisers – solutions spanning Unified Managed Account (UMA), Unified Managed Household (UMH), Digital, Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), Intermediary-Sold Model solutions, and dedicated funds – which currently represent over four million accounts and greater than $1.4T in assets
- SAI has 69 dedicated funds, with over $850B in AUM. This position oversees and is responsible for the management and development of these dedicated funds
- Lead development of solutions in your SME area
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to help drive product positioning, product marketing, and product development
- Lead ongoing project reporting for senior leaders and partner to provide updates on project implementation
- Essential team member on solution and fund launches by assisting in representing the investment team to communicate the investment process, investment philosophy, portfolio construction, positioning, messaging, and representative training, as well as thought leadership
- Drive development and prioritization of the strategic roadmap while influencing business partners to take action on new initiatives
- SME for the on-going product management of solutions including ongoing product support in the form of communications and positioning of investment process and methodology, as well as facilitation of client requests/exceptions, reporting/analysis improvements, and ad hoc channel needs
- Accountable for crafting and articulating investment solution philosophy, process, resources, and results to internal partners
- Support distribution teams by answering complex client and prospect inquires related to the investment methodology underpinning our solutions
- Support further product development efforts related to Retail, Workplace, Institutional platforms, and dedicated funds
The Expertise and skills you bring
- Ten (10) plus years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, product development or product strategy roles
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
- Investment and/or Product experience with single-asset class, multi-asset-class, and/or fund solutions including managed accounts
- Progress towards advanced degrees, relevant professional certifications and/or equivalent(s) strongly preferred
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from different functional areas and varying levels of experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication, and to logically present sophisticated proposals, issues, and arguments to key partners and senior leaders
- Analytical and data-driven, with strong organizational abilities and problem-solving skills that can help find creative solutions to complex problems
- Project management abilities with a history of successfully driving progress on key initiatives while coordinating and aligning critical dependencies
- Proactive identification of critical issues, potential resolution plans, and quick decisioning
- Familiarity and comfort with technology concepts and trading architectures for financial services / managed accounts

Strategic Advisers LLC (SAI) is a leading innovator of managed account solutions for Fidelity Investments. SAI has experienced tremendous growth in the last 3 years and is expecting further growth acceleration in the coming 3-5 years. SAI has a long history of delivering innovative solutions to the marketplace, driving better outcomes for clients, while offering increasing personalization. SAI leverages core capabilities of multi-asset class portfolio construction, third-party fundamental manager research, investment guidance, and financial planning. SAI supports all of Fidelity’s distribution channels, running discretionary managed accounts for Wealth Solutions and Workplace investing, while delivering model portfolios for Fidelity Institutional’s intermediary clients.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
