The Role:

In this role, you will support Fidelity’s Fixed Income Sales desk supporting our clients/channel partners with their fixed income needs through the purchase and sale of fixed income products. You will play an important role, supporting the sales team, traders and operations teams to facilitate critical operational functions for fixed income sales and provide general organizational support in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

You will be joining the Sales Team and supporting numerous internal Fidelity business units and clients (Advisor, Institutional and Broker Dealer) with the sale of fixed income products and service needs.

  • Work in conjunction with sales, trading, underwriting, operations, and clients to support and facilitate the purchase and sale of fixed income products
  • Work to promote Fidelity’s Fixed Income offering and platform to business partners and assist in informing all interested parties with relevant product or trade information
  • Vigilantly and continuously trying to identify areas of improvement and be a part of developing the plan to implement change
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset is a critical component to the role

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Series 7 required
  • Series 63 must be successfully passed within six months of hire
  • Experience/interest in fixed income markets and sales
  • Brokerage industry experience/interest, preferably in trading or back-office operations
  • Back office knowledge of Fixed Income
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading floor environment
  • A strong attention to detail, enjoy working with a team and are proactive and analytical
  • Capacity for effective and efficient client interactions via phones and electronic communication
  • Fixed income knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • Comfort with and proficiency with technology (particularly Microsoft Excel), Bloomberg experience is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and assist multiple distribution channels in a time-sensitive environment

The Team:

Fidelity Capital Markets (“FCM”) supports a variety of internal and external institutional clients. Your work will directly impact the various FCM businesses that support these clients.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-120,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
