Seize the opportunity to join the dynamic and fast-paced environment as an Associate in Global Investment Banking (GIB) Business Management. This Hong Kong-based role involves achieving business objectives, strategic planning and analysis. As an Associate within the GIB Business Management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Asia Pacific Regional and China GIB business in fostering business result, executing strategic initiative, and delivering financial & business management agenda. You will provide exposure to all aspects of the business with high impact, high visibility and broad scope of responsibilities.

Job responsibilities

  • Support the China GIB Business Management team to lead the business and Finance & Business Management team in achieving business objectives, formulation of strategic decisions/initiatives and identification of risks/opportunities
  • Assist in management reporting, pipeline management, expense and budgetary management, relevant control steps across deal lifecycle, event coordination, and other internal data analytics and maintenance
  • Prepare strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews to navigate revenue growth strategy and business priorities
  • Work with regional/business management team on various regional/ global deliverables, ranging from regulatory reporting to data analytics
  • Working closely with various control and support functions on various BAU and ad hoc projects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, business management or strategy roles in the financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize changing demands
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with excellent attention to detail, articulate in written and verbal communication, present and support their own conclusions to senior audiences
  • A team player who can work smoothly with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels of seniority
  • A self-starter with excellent can-do attitude, motivation, and an ability to learn quickly
  • Proficiency in English, written Chinese and spoken Mandarin
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint tools
