As a Marketing Research & Insights Lead within JPMorgan, you will lead research and analysis across our Banking, Payments, and Markets lines of business, providing actionable intelligence to inform optimal messaging strategies for key client segments. You will also combine strong research capabilities with strategic thinking, ensuring that our positioning and narratives resonate with target audiences.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research into critical client and industry segments across Banking, Payments, and Markets.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and ethnographic research.
  • Analyze client behaviors, competitor strategies, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Translate data into clear insights that inform messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Synthesize complex data from multiple sources to identify actionable insights and strategic opportunities
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, and Line-of-Business leaders to ensure insights are embedded in messaging strategies.
  • Provide segment-specific recommendations for how to differentiate and communicate effectively in highly competitive markets.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of messaging campaigns, refining approaches based on evidence.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders in Banking, Payments, and Markets to understand strategic priorities.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executives in clear, concise, and persuasive ways.
  • Collaborate with external research partners, agencies, and analysts when needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in insights, research, or strategy roles within financial services, consulting, or market research.
  • Proven ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex research into compelling narratives.
  • Proficiency in market research tools, data visualization, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience in marketing insights or messaging strategy.
  • Customer segmentation, brand tracking, and competitor intelligence.
