Job Description
The Asset & Wealth Management Business Resiliency organization, in partnership with the business, is responsible for the management and delivery of the Asset & Wealth Management Business Resiliency Program which includes development of business resiliency strategies, coordination of testing of recovery capabilities, coordination of crisis management events, and governance and oversight of the program. Asset & Wealth Management Business Resiliency also undertakes strategic projects focused on AI and transformation. As the Business Resiliency Manager within the Asset & Wealth Management Business Resiliency organization, you will collaborate with business and process owners to ensure that robust and compliant resiliency plans are properly documented and tested, enabling bank operations to continue with minimal disruption during adverse events. Additionally, you will work closely with internal providers of Business Recovery Facilities and Technology, as well as with firmwide teams responsible for Resiliency, Compliance, Audit, Risk, and other control functions.
Job responsibilities
- Advise and support business partners in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive Business Resiliency (BR) Plans.
- Lead and coordinate business participation in resiliency testing, ensuring completion in accordance with firmwide Business Resiliency standards and Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) procedures.
- Oversee business resiliency compliance, ensuring that Resiliency Plans and tests adhere to all required standards and comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance resiliency and manage the deployment of innovative solutions in collaboration with business units and resiliency partner teams.
- Provide firmwide and, where applicable, AWM Business Resiliency tools training to Plan Managers and Plan Owners.
- Prepare reports and support audit activities and other control functions as needed.
- Manage the business response to incidents by advising stakeholders and coordinating across multiple groups to ensure all necessary incident management activities, including after-action reviews, are conducted.
- Manage and coordinate resiliency activities specific to the APAC region, in partnership with business and firmwide resiliency stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as required to support AWM Business Resiliency Management projects and strategic initiatives; attend stakeholder engagement meetings as a BR ambassador and participate in change and innovation forums, working groups, senior management meetings, and region-specific or AWM meetings.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, risk management, or operations.
- 7 plus years of relevant professional experience in business resiliency, risk management, or operations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a proven capacity to synthesize complex information for senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of business, operations, and technology.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Advanced analytical, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in business resiliency, disaster recovery, crisis management, or related functions.
- Experience within the financial sector is advantageous.
- Possession of a relevant professional industry certification, such as BCI or DRII.
