Job summary:
As an Business Development Associate (RIA) on the 55ip Business Development RIA team you will focus on supporting the sales efforts targeting Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) to utilize to 55ip’s platform. You will play a critical role in supporting the sales process, building relationships with prospective clients & asset management partners, and helping RIAs understand the value of 55ip’s solutions.
Job responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify, research, and qualify prospective RIAs who can benefit from 55ip’s platform.
- Sales Support: Partner with Business Development Managers to execute outreach campaigns, engaging our asset management partners, and preparing sales materials/presentations.
- Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of 55ip’s technology, features, and benefits to effectively communicate value propositions to RIAs.
- Client Engagement: Conduct introductory calls, product demos, and follow-ups with prospective clients to move them through the sales funnel.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and the Advisor Success Teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting RIAs.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or sales support (internships included).
- Strong interest in investment management, fintech, and the RIA channel.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
