Join JPMorgan Chase Securities Services’ Investment Middle Office Services (IMOS) Reconciliations team, supporting institutional asset managers across global markets by safeguarding the integrity of client books and records. You’ll investigate and resolve cash, position, and transaction breaks, partner with internal teams and external counterparties, and help strengthen controls, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
As a Recon Associate, in the Investment Middle Office Service team, you will ensure client books and records are accurate by reconciling cash/positions/transactions, investigating and resolving breaks with internal teams and external providers, and meeting SLAs/controls.
You will support daily reconciliations, documents actions and root causes, assist incident responses, prepare reporting, escalate complex issues, and partner with Tech and Product on automation, tooling, data quality, and onboarding through go live.
Job responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Reconciliation Activities: Support the team in performing daily reconciliations, identifying breaks, and ensuring accurate records.
- Investigate and Resolve Exceptions: Work with colleagues to investigate reconciliation exceptions, document findings & root cause analysis, and assist in resolving issues within established timelines.
- Maintain Documentation: Ensure all actions, findings, and resolutions are clearly documented in the reconciliation system, following firm standards for completeness and clarity.
- Support Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities by gathering relevant information and assisting in the resolution process.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to facilitate exception resolution and process improvements.
- Participate in Team Meetings: Attend regular team meetings and forums to stay informed about service delivery updates, control enhancements, and ongoing initiatives.
- Prepare Reports: Assist in preparing management reports / decks and summaries for review by senior team members.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Follow established operating procedures, control frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Escalate Issues: Promptly escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior associates or managers for further action.
- Partner with Technology/Change and Product on strategic initiatives including automation, tooling upgrades, data quality improvements, and workflow optimization.
- Participate in onboarding workstreams from intake through go-live— inclusive but not limited to scope, milestones, RACI, RAID log, governance cadence, and senior stakeholder reporting.

- Detail-oriented in accurately reviewing and processing data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring completeness in documentation.
- Inquisitive in investigating exceptions, understanding root causes, and applying logical reasoning to resolve issues.
- Clear in documenting findings, actions, and resolutions, and communicating with team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborative in working well within a team environment, supporting colleagues, and contributing to group objectives.
- Organized in managing workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines for exception resolution and reporting.
- Adaptable in learning new processes, adjusting to procedural changes, and responding to evolving business needs.

- Compliance-minded in understanding and following firm policies, procedures, and control requirements.
- Tech-savvy in leveraging reconciliation systems and other relevant tools.
