From Hong Kong, you will work at the center of a fast-moving trading floor environment and partner closely with colleagues across sales, trading, and research. You will have scope to grow senior client relationships, originate differentiated ideas, and lead a high-touch service model.

As a Cash Equity Sales, Vice President in the Cash Equity Sales team, you will lead coverage for institutional clients from Hong Kong with a focus on Korea product, and Korean clients, combining relationship management, idea generation, and execution delivery. You will collaborate across sales, research, and trading to provide responsive, high-quality coverage and help clients navigate markets with timely insights and solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Own coverage strategy and day-to-day relationship management for a defined portfolio of institutional clients, with Korean language skills a plus
  • Develop and deliver actionable cash equities trade ideas aligned to client mandates and market conditions across APAC, with particular focus on the Korean equity market
  • Partner with trading teams to drive high-quality execution outcomes and provide market color and liquidity insights
  • Coordinate with research and corporate access partners to connect clients with relevant content, themes, and access opportunities
  • Communicate market intelligence and timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders with clarity and commercial judgment
  • Anticipate client needs by monitoring flows, positioning, catalysts, and sentiment and translating them into client conversations
  • Champion client feedback internally to improve service model, content priorities, and client experience
  • Lead junior team members by coaching on product knowledge, client service standards, and communication quality
  • Operate with a strong conduct and controls mindset, ensuring all activity aligns with applicable policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines while remaining focused on client outcomes

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
  • 7 years of experience in cash equity sales, equities trading support, or a closely related markets role covering institutional clients
  • Demonstrated experience managing senior institutional client relationships and owning a coverage book
  • Working knowledge of global equity markets and strong curiosity about market drivers and client behavior
  • Proven ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate concepts clearly in writing and verbally
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across sales, trading, and research partners
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multitask, and deliver under time pressure in a trading floor environment
  • Professional fluency in Korean and English
  • Demonstrated commitment to conduct, risk awareness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Established relationships with institutional clients trading in Korea (subject to applicable restrictions and review)
  • Experience covering Korean clients from an offshore hub and coordinating across time zones and regional partners
  • Demonstrated strength in equities idea generation (thematic, event-driven, sector, relative value) and content distribution
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing analysts/associates in a markets environment
  • Relevant professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies (as applicable in Hong Kong)
