As an Analyst in Prime Synthetics Trading, you will partner with traders, sales, structuring, technologists, and operations to build automation and analytics that improve trading workflows and decision-making. You will investigate problems end-to-end, learn quickly, and deliver scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.
Job responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day trading activities, risk management processes, and hedging strategies across Equities, FX, and related products.
- Partner with stakeholders across Prime, Sales, Trading, Structuring, and other business functions to develop client solutions, optimize workflows, and enhance the synthetic platform.
- Analyze trading, risk, and business data to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve performance.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to support decision making.
- Challenge existing processes and drive efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quantitative Research, Technology, and Operations teams on strategic business and platform enhancements.
- Strengthen trading infrastructure, control frameworks, and operational processes to support business growth.
- Conduct P&L analysis and reviews while maintaining strong risk discipline and adherence to regulatory and business conduct standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
- Strong interest in financial markets, sales and trading, and client-driven businesses.
- Familiarity with Claude, Python, SQL, data visualization tools, or AI and machine learning tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning new products, markets, and business processes.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1-3 year experience in sales/trading/research/structuring or related area
- Experience building code-driven automation, analytics, or personal technical projects (academic or self-directed).
- Interest in financial markets and trading technology.
