The opportunity

John Hancock is undertaking a multi-year transformation into a more digital, customer- centric organization. As a part of this transformation, we plan to build digital solutions based on the latest technologies.

You will be part of our Personal Investing organization and you will support multiple Consumer products in the digital advice space. You will carry out, and improve existing, policies and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency as it relates to operational workflow while adhering to all Firm and regulatory standards.

You will partner with vendors, such as custodians to troubleshoot operations issues and errors as well as with various teams on internal and external reporting. Your responsibilities will include caring for time sensitive operations areas such as trading, billing, and handling critical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop, fine-tune, and carry out operations policies and procedures

  • Work with Legal and Compliance to make sure operational procedures are adhered to

  • Work with Customer Support staff to fulfill operations requests and to troubleshoot and come up with resolutions

  • Work on and improve reporting capabilities inclusive of client fee billing, financial reporting and sales reporting

  • Work with custodians to resolve operations and trading issues

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least two years’ experience, preferably in investment management or broker dealer operations

  • A working understanding of the investment management or advisory business with an ability to articulate investment concepts

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail

  • Analytical approach to problem solving requiring self-reliance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

USA, Massachusetts, Boston, 200 Berkeley Street

Salary range is expected to be between

$57,450.00 USD - $95,750.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
