Exposure to key actuarial disciplines including pricing, valuation, investments, risk management and financial modeling
Actuarial co-ops to join us in our Boston, Massachusetts, USA office for a 4 or 6 month co-op, running from January – June 2024 or January – April 2024 term
This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office for our company’s core in-office days, with the opportunity to work remotely on the other days
Participate in a mentorship program with a full-time actuarial student
Attend events on a regular basis with speakers from various departments within our organization to further develop professional skills
Network with senior management
Attend social events with fellow co-ops and full-time employees throughout the co-op
How you’ll make an impact
As an Actuarial Co-op, you will develop technical expertise, business integrity and strong leadership skills while learning about the actuarial career
Complete process improvement projects to help increase efficiency in the department.
Present results and recommendations to manager and other stakeholders on projects.
What you’ll bring to the team
Strong university GPA with success in relevant courses
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non- technical team members
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture"
High energy, results oriented self-starter, with the ability to achieve under tight deadlines
Demonstrated leadership skills
Familiarity with Society of Actuaries (SOA) qualification process
Strong working knowledge of Excel; programming skills is an asset
Other actuarial or financial internships considered an asset
