Working Arrangement
Job Description
The Director, US Investment Management Compliance provides compliance support and recommendations on strategic product initiatives for John Hancock (JH) Investment Management and lead all aspects of the implementation of new regulatory requirements that effect the Funds and Adviser. The role also supports the overall compliance programs for the John Hancock CCO’s Office and facilitates comprehensive reports to the JH Funds’ independent board of trustees.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and recommendations on product development and other central initiatives for John Hancock Investment Management
- Collaborate with the local business functions to implement regulatory requirement changes into end-to-end processes, policies and controls
- Provide quarterly reporting to the independent board of trustees
- Educate leadership team on risk and controls related to key processes and changes
- Partner with Risk to accurately manage and close corrective action plans
- General compliance program support

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)

- Kowledge of the 1940 Act registered products and compliance practices

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Boston, MassachusettsSalary range is expected to be between
$111,900.00 USD - $201,420.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
