Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting and driving marketing strategy and execution for the John Hancock’s Behavioral Insurance business. This role will focus on B2B marketing for the Vitality program, an innovative benefit exclusive to John Hancock life insurance which helps customers live longer, healthier, better lives. This position is responsible for managing campaigns and “evergreen” marketing initiatives in both digital and traditional mediums.

General Responsibilities:

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and optimize marketing plans using critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Work with colleagues across Sales & Distribution, Strategy, Product Management, Marketing, and Legal & Compliance to develop and implement concept-driven marketing materials, tools, and programs
  • Develop programs and campaigns that are segmented considering various B2B audiences, as well as the end consumer (B2B2C)
  • Employ an “end-to-end” approach — considering the full customer journey and experience from awareness through lead generation to onboarding and beyond
  • Bring an innovative mindset, looking at what’s new from competitors and in the larger industry
  • Challenge the traditional way of doing things and embrace a culture of continuous improvement
  • Adopt a research mindset: working with the Research Team, review marketing research to develop tools, materials, and programs
  • Conduct focus groups, assemble field committees, and conduct surveys to develop materials, tools and programs
  • Create and edit product guides, program brochures, advisor guides, and other content required in the development and implementation of marketing plan deliverables
  • Develop test and measurement plans for campaigns to ensure we are making decisions based on business insights.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Boston, Massachusetts

Salary range is expected to be between

$66,675.00 USD - $111,125.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
