Reporting into the Head of US Retirement Finance, the Director role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Retirement business leadership team. This role is responsible for translating business strategies into actionable financial forecasts, providing insights that drive decision-making, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of financial competence, business partnership, and analytical expertise to support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across the Retirement business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Retirement business leaders to translate strategic initiatives into financial forecasts and long-range plans

  • Prepare and communicate actual and forecasted financial results, including variance analysis and tracking key performance indicators

  • Evaluate product-level profitability and support pricing strategies to ensure margin hurdles are met

  • Provide financial insights to support product development, pricing decisions, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze operating expenses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization

  • Collaborate with business divisions to ensure disciplined expense management and accountability

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance and strategic support.

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within the retirement, insurance, or financial services industry

  • Proven experience in business partnering and strategic financial leadership

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization

  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis

  • Strategic problem solver with a proactive approach

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and facilitate change

  • High integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence

Salary range is expected to be between

$120,750.00 USD - $217,350.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
