As part of our internal contracting team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining selling agreements with our distribution partners. The team ensure’ s all contractual terms are accurately documented, aligned with business objectives, and compliant with regulatory requirements. The team facilitates agreement execution, tracks renewals and amendments, and serves as a key liaison between our organization and external partners to support a smooth and consistent sales process. This role offers a dynamic environment focused on collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality financial and administrative service to a select block of challenging cases.

  • Identify, analyze, and implement optimal solutions to errors and business needs.

  • Manage nonstandard issues and ensure reliable processes are in place.

  • Exercise sound judgment in cases with profitability implications.

  • Act as a point of escalation for sensitive and complex issues.

  • Operational & Team Support

    • Assist the Team Manager in coordinating resources and monitoring activities.

    • Contribute to departmental process improvements and problem resolution.

  • Training & Development

    • Identify training needs and contribute to development solutions.

    • Train staff on procedures, workflows, systems, and complex corrections.

    • Deliver formal training to staff and external partners.

    • Support staff development for effective customer-focused teamwork.

  • Contracting & Sales Support

    • Manage and maintain selling agreements with distribution partners.

    • Ensure contractual terms align with business objectives and compliance standards.

    • Liaise with legal and compliance teams to resolve and negotiate partner requests.

    • Support the sales process by identifying efficiencies and enhancing internal workflows.

    • Ensure contractual terms align with business objectives and compliance standards.

    • Monitor team metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

    • Represent the team in departmental and divisional projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of business products, services, and processes.

  • Completion of required departmental courses and licenses.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in workflows, systems functionality, and limitations.

  • Ability to anticipate and manage business issues proactively.

  • Salesforce experience.

  • General understanding of life insurance and distribution structures.

  • Team-oriented with a growth mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in New Business, Underwriting, and Distribution.

  • Public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with AI tools, Power BI, and emerging technologies.

  • Deep understanding of John Hancock’s selling process and compensation structure.

  • Customer-centric mindset and futuristic approach to service delivery.

  • The ability to manage and maintain selling agreements with distribution partners.

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,375.00 USD - $100,625.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
