Senior Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions across our cloud environments. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and protecting our data from emerging threats.
The candidate should have some knowledge of cloud security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, PCI, and ISO. Familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) is necessary. We are seeking an engineer skilled in risk-based data analysis, capable of triaging security alerts and developing comprehensive reports. Experience with Azure is required with some knowledge in other Cloud services like AWS / GCP. Additionally, the engineer should be adept at using AI tools to enhance the efficiency of operational tasks.
Office location: Toronto - Canada or Boston - USA
Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in Office, 2 days from Home.
Remote working option is not available.
Position Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce robust security policies, conduct risk assessments, and respond to security incidents. A key focus will be ensuring configuration compliance across all cloud resources, maintaining best practices to prevent misconfigurations that could lead to vulnerabilities.
Your expertise will be essential in guiding the organization through complex security challenges, optimizing our cloud security posture, and supporting the adoption of new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud platforms, a strong background in cybersecurity, and a proven track record of successfully managing cloud security initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Must have 8+ years of IT industry / related experience
Must have 2 to 3 years experience in CSPM tools .
Must have Security certifications
Must have experience in Azure Cloud
Must have experience in risk-based data analysis, capable of triaging security alerts and developing comprehensive reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry exposure in AI is highly desirable but not a must
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science is highly desirable

Salary range is expected to be between
