Our team is seeking a motivated AI Engineering Intern to join our Asset Management AI team. This internship offers hands‑on experience developing AI‑driven solutions in an investment management context. You will work with market and portfolio data, support data engineering initiatives, and contribute to foundational capabilities that enable scalable use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI within our existing MLOps framework.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about applied AI, data engineering, and modern cloud‑based ML platforms, and who are eager to learn in a collaborative, real‑world environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Support: Assist front office analysts and portfolio managers in identifying AI/ML opportunities and developing lightweight prototypes.

  • Data Engineering: Help design and implement data models, support automated data mapping, and perform data quality checks.

  • Tooling and Standards: Contribute to defining best practices for MLOps processes and CI/CD workflows.

  • Research and Development: Stay informed about advancements in LLM and Generative AI models and assist in integrating these into our workflows.

  • Cloud and Infrastructure Support: Gain exposure to tools like Databricks, Kubernetes, and Azure Data Factory for ETL and compute tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Familiarity with Python and fundamental software development concepts.

  • Strong interest in AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud‑based technologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Experience with data or compute platforms such as Databricks, or containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and model or experiment tracking tools (e.g., MLflow).

Please note the salary range is $78,000 USD to $117,000 USD.
