CIAM Security Developer position offers a hands-on opportunity to join Manulife’s Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) team, supporting critical digital security initiatives. The role directly addresses a skills gap in IBM Verify expertise, contributing to the mission of delivering secure authentication and access for millions of customers. You’ll help scale and strengthen hybrid identity solutions across on-prem and Azure cloud environments, working alongside experienced engineers. This position offers visibility, impact, and the chance to deepen your technical skills in a niche, high-demand area.
Position Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support CIAM solutions using IBM Verify (formerly ISAM) in hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments
Implement and maintain authentication, federation, and access management capabilities
Deploy and optimize identity solutions in Microsoft Azure cloud
Troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and enhance CIAM platform performance
Collaborate with platform engineers and security teams to ensure compliance and scalability
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in IAM / CIAM or security engineering roles
Quantified hands-on experience with IBM Verify (formerly ISAM) in hybrid deployments
Experience supporting identity solutions in Azure cloud environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale CIAM platforms
Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions
Understanding of hybrid identity architecture patterns
Experience in financial services or regulated environments
Exposure to non-containerized deployment models

Salary range is expected to be between
