The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

The Employee Listening Research and Strategy team, within the People, Purpose, and Brand Analytics team, focuses on the design, socialization and evolution of our employee listening strategy to optimize employee experience and effectively meet business needs. As part of the Employee Listening Research and Strategy team, you will play a critical role in designing and conducting employee experience research (both internal and external) to address critical business questions and inform strategic workforce decisions. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact with our People, Purpose and Brand stakeholders, consult on employee experience research programs such as our performance pulse, lifecycle surveys, and intercept studies, conduct analyses leveraging existing employee sentiment data and conduct ad hoc research to identify actionable insights to improve the experience for employees across our business units and markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and conducts high complexity employee experience research and analysis.
  • Manages low to moderately complex projects, while providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the business.
  • Utilizes more advanced statistical techniques to understand and improve employee experience.
  • May regularly utilize, update and adapt predictive modeling tools and/or focus on the application of the tools.
  • May develop analytic tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making.
  • Answers complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
  • Manages one or more complex research projects somewhat independently.
  • Presents actionable findings / recommendations which impact employee experience and business outcomes
  • May lead discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level.
  • Supports the improvement of listening data architecture and methodologies.
  • Provides ad hoc consultation on employee experience data and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 5 years, typically 7 or more years, of related experience required; Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Master's Degree preferred; advanced education may be substituted for years of experience (Ph.D. with no professional experience).
  • Deep knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers.
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
  • Ability to build analytic tools that will be used by business teams to analyze results and opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Ability to present data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business managers.
